30.        LADY SPIDER

Friendly she coys almost all,
let them feel they have a ball
while she drains one to useful gall,
a social feast while the victims call.

So each one comes to a useful end,
that is to say from the spider's end,
claiming the victim's mind a bend,
placing their sanity on indent.

The lady spider in rainbow disguise
can even lead the sun by surprise,
a spider within belle's guise.

There she sits in pride and joy,
in success of her double ploy,
uttering "you’re in trouble boy!"
